A paleo diet is a regimen of eating foods that the paleolithic man ate before the agricultural revolution came along. This consists of lean proteins (beef, seafood, poultry, buffalo, etc.), vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds and healthy fats.
So take your average joe’s daily intake and remove the following: grains (wheat, rice, corn, etc.), dairy (milk, cheese, and yes, even yogurt), legumes (beans and peanuts) and processed foods (adios fast food, protein bars, and a lot of what’s in the center aisles of the grocery store.)
I’ve found paleo to be easier when you try not to focus on what you can’t have- focus on all of the great foods you can have, and lots of.
